Amy joined the firm upon qualification in 2011 and became a Director of Mills & Co Solicitors Limited in 2021.

Work Types

Amy advises on a wide range of dry shipping, trade and insurance matters, acting principally for owners, charterers, P&I Clubs, traders and insurers.  She specialises in charterparty disputes, including Inter-Club Agreement claims, bunker quality disputes, seaworthiness issues and debt recovery. She also handles ship repair disputes and has experience of high value Admiralty claims including in relation to casualties and dangerous goods. Amy regularly deals with claims in London arbitration (LMAA), the English High Court and in mediation. 

Amy has previously worked on secondment at an IG P&I Club dealing with both P&I and FDD claims.  She has a BA Honours (First Class) degree in English Literature from the University of Leicester and is a member of the Law Society and the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA).
