Welcome to Mills & Co. Solicitors

Mills & Co is a firm of lawyers advising on English law, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The firm advises predominantly on shipping and international trade.

It was founded in 1993 by Geoffrey Mills and Alistdair Brown, two lawyers who left a much larger law firm in Newcastle in order to set up on their own, and Guy MIlls, who left a leading London firm to join them.

The firm now consists of eighteen lawyers.

Most of the work undertaken by the firm has an international aspect to it, involving significant foreign travel, and the firm competes for work primarily with London lawyers who have expertise in the same areas.

Being based outside London, however, Mills & Co can undertake specialist work at significantly lower rates than most of its competitors.

The firm has been built on the basis of providing high quality advice, at a reasonable cost - and that continues to be its aim.
