Arbitration
Mills & Co regularly represents clients in
arbitration and in shipping disputes, and in that respect is likely to know the best
arbitrator to appoint on behalf of clients in relation to any particular specialist area.
In England the law relating to arbitration was consolidated,
and to a certain extent overhauled, by the Arbitration Act 1996. The firm has kept a close eye on how the Act has
been interpreted by arbitrators, and applied by the English Courts.
Various
lawyers in the firm are supporting
members of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association, and have long experience of
arbitrating in accordance with LMAA Rules, before LMAA arbitrators.
Various lawyers in the firm also have experience
of arbitrations before trade associations such as GAFTA, FOSFA and the RSA. |
